Take Me to the Water
The benefits of learning to swim will last a lifetime. We want to make your entire family water safe, so that they may enjoy going on vacation, boating, spending time at the beach, or just having fun in the bathtub. Swimming is the ultimate health and fitness sport providing a full body workout with low impact on muscles and joints.
Unfortunately, swimming can be as dangerous as it is healthy and fun. Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death in children between the ages 1 – 5 years old. Learning to swim reduces the risk of drowning significantly. Like most athletic skills, the younger you start the activity, the easier it is to learn. Even learning to swim beginning in infancy only reinforces the instinctive swimming movement children have at birth.
Take Me To The Water is a member of the United States Swim School Association, an organization devoted to aquatic education. By attending annual conferences held throughout the country, we constantly update our staff on the safest and most proven methods of teaching from around the world.
Whether you have a six-month-old in a baby and me class, a three-year-old in a beginner class, or a twelve-year-old on our Gators swim team, we will help you and/or your child meet goals and teach them to enjoy, and more importantly, to respect water for a lifetime.
