Swim School Policies

 

FIRST DAY TIPS

Some parents will have children already dressed for swim under their street clothes until they get the routine.

If your child is shy or scared, introduce a bathroom tub toy at home and then let the toy come along for the swim class.

On the first day only it’s best to arrive 15 minutes early to get comfortable with the facility and to fill out a Release Form (if not done online) and a semester Rules & Payment Authorization Form.

RELEASE FORM

Our Insurance policy requires that all swimmers and participants (parents in baby classes) sign our Release Form  (download, sign and bring to 1st day of class) only one time when you first swim with us, before you will be allowed to enter the pool. If you choose not to sign the Release Form , you will not be able to participate in the program on that day to ensure that each person is properly insured.

HEALTH CLUB RULES

All specific health club and board of health rules will be strictly enforced. Please see the “Individual Pool Details” posted in each location listed on our web-site for further details.

NO EATING

There is no food/beverages allowed in any of our facilities. Please do not eat at least one hour prior to your lesson. If a student gets sick they may be asked to leave the program to maintain the safety and well-being of the other students and the program.

ADULT MUST STAY BY POOL

All students under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times when entering/departing the building and during the swim program.

WATER DIAPERS

Children 3 years old and younger or not toilet trained MUST wear water diapers or they will not be allowed to swim.

PAYMENT

A pre-arranged payment is due by your first day of class. If no payment has been received by that time, your credit card will be charged by the second week of your scheduled class.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS/CREDITS

When registering for a semester you will be held accountable for that first class whether you attend it or not. There is a $25 cancellation fee. A full refund minus the cost of that first class and minus the $25 cancellation fee will be given should you cancel within 72 hours of your second scheduled class. If you choose to cancel after the second class and thereafter, the remaining cash value of the classes will be frozen upon proper notification, (72 hours prior to your next class). The credit may be used for anytime, up to one year. There are no cancellations for the last two weeks of a semester.

NOTIFICATIONS

All notifications including cancellations; must be made at least 72 hours prior to your next class. The reason for this policy is to allow us the opportunity to sell the spot you are holding to another student.

MAKE-UP

If your student is currently enrolled in 7 or more classes, and missed a class for any reason, we will be happy to try to schedule 1 make up per semester. Please read the following guidelines carefully:

  • The missed class can only be made up during the semester in which the class was missed.
  • We do not carry over any make-up to other semesters.
  • A make-up can’t be done on the first week of a semester.
  • There are no make-ups for missed make-ups.
  • We do not offer a choice of instructor s for your make up, class availability is based solely on matching students by age, ability and class ratio so not to miss match the class you are joining.

Makeup requests can only be submitted by filling out a ( Make-Up Request Form ). Requests will be answered only M-F on the days the office is open. We may not respond or do a make-up if your request is more than 3 days before the requested make-up date and no fewer then 10 hours. We will try to have a representative call you back the same day if we receive this form before 3pm.
